Well, as I said on the july drag write up, I found a welcoming environment for shows. Cookie at the Jungle is so sweet, she told me I could come work anytime. I decided to try doing so about every two weeks. My goal is to have new music each time so that my preformances will never be duplications of the previous preformance. Doing shows no more often than every two weeks should give me the time to make my shows refreshing and "new" to the audience each time.
So, on Friday August 8th after calling Cookie but apparently having the wrong number, I took my "drag" and my music and went to the Jungle in hopes that I could join Cookie, Vanessa and Sabra in doing a show. As it turns out they welcomed me with open arms. The audiance was receptive as well, I did rather well on tips and got several compliments.The numbers I did in order are: "Delta Dawn" by Tanya Tucker, "A girls gotta do what a girls gotta do" and "10000 Angels" both by Mindy Macready and finally "Just for Tonight" by Vanessa Williams. Of course thanks to Roy for the photography and the picture title will tell you what I was doing at the time.
With permission, of course, I thought I would share a picture of each of the other lovely ladies that was in the "ensemble" last night. Cookie is of course the show director, Sabra is one of my dearest friends in the drag arena and Vanessa is a long standing friend and a real sweetie. We WOW'ED them last night, didnt we girls. :)
