Hi, I am Vickie Collins and I live in Nashville Tn. What am I, I have been asked over the year? For several years now, I have been answering that I am a crossdresser but before that I was a drag queen. In fact, I was a show director at a bar called "Victor/Victoria's" here in Nashville for about a year. At that point, due to being burn out, I quiet. For a few years I did an occasional benefit but around 1996 or so I quite even doing that.
However, in September of 2002, I was at Model-T's in Atlanta and Lynda Warren induced us all to do back up for Jewel Holloway. I demured at first but decided that since everybody else was...I might as well to. I mean if they all got thrown out, hey, I would just join them. (LOL) However, to my surprise Jewel's response was to include us and even request that we come back the next night and do it again. And we did.
After this "first", I started to thinking that the fact that it had been so long and perhaps in 2003, I could do a number by myself..since they were so accepting. As it turns out, I did, but even before that I got other opportunities, when I was in the mood to accept. So in effect, I have had a come back on the drag circuit so to speak. (grin)
